Do you ever feel like you're living the life of that old poster that read; "The hurrier I go, the behinder I get"? I sure do. Especially this time of year.

I haven't written in a while, so I figured it was a good time to get ya'll caught up on what's been happening in the Queendom..

*My busy life has been stubstainally slowed down the last few weeks due to injuries sustained while fending off a brutal attack by alien invaders. No worries. I handled it. You're all safe for now.

If you want to believe that.

Or, you could believe the alternative facts: I fell off a curb into the street and sustained a mild concussion, black eye and fractured elbow.

The choice, my friends,, is yours.

*I spent last weekend in North Idaho and Eastern Washington, visiting QIT (Queen in Training) and My Happy Place (University of Idaho/Moscow, Idaho) with SP (Sweet Prince). QIT is earning her royal crown rather quickly. I was proud to watch her carry out an event she'd been planning for the past year in which she and her friends created a pollinator pathway across three parks on and near campus. Might have to give her the official crown of the Queendom soon. SP had pretty much made up his mind about where to attend college but wanted to meet with the band director at the University of Idaho one more time. I think he'll spend some time at the local community college, which has a great music program. But he'll end up at My Happy Place, which is just eight miles from Washington State, where his sister, PP (President Princess) will be in school. (QIT will have graduated by the time he gets there) I'll love having them close to each other.

*PP is about to graduate high school and I've been attempting help get the "safe and sane" party ready to go. Other's have done the bulk of the organizing, I'm just doing some shopping. In a little school like this, it's fun because you can do something for each kid. Typically there are only 20-ish kids in the graduating class. PP's class has 40, so our normal budget is a little short. I'm not much of a bargain hunter, but I've managed to track down a few items for each senior. Graduation night, each student will stand next to a table where guests can greet them and leave gifts, cards and balloons so those things aren't blocking the aisles and views of the people in the gym. I'm part of the team who gets those tables ready for the kids. Today, I'm designing the banners that will have their name and photo, so folks can find they kids' tables. I really enjoy graphic design. I'm not great at it, but I have lots of friends who are and they're very patient with me as I ask questions.

*Been doing some spring cleaning and filing as it desperately needs done around the castle and it's something I can do with one hand. It's like Christmas around here. I'm a notorious stacker and procrastinator, so as I clean off piles and boxes and bags of stuff, I'm finding all sorts of missing items, not to mention the long lost surfaces of desks and tables.

*And finally, it's beyond time to start the new books for the Karmalot bookclub. if you're not a "member" yet, please click on the "Members" tab above and join in. This round is special because I have a giveaway running!

I'll leave you with this lovely Idaho moment -- I took this photo at Spring Valley reservoir outside of Troy, Idaho last weekend. I fell in love with this spot.

What's going on in your life?
